In observance of the day, the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ is encouraging students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the Livingston community to wear red and white and show their ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ pride. ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ will host a College Colors Day photo set in front of the Young Hall Cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 4. Everyone wearing ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ red and white is invited to participate.

Despite challenges, obstacles, and disappointments, Keya Tabb never gave up on her dream of becoming a registered nurse. Now enrolled in the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµâ€™s associate of science in nursing (ASN) program, the 52-year-old Tuscaloosa native is on track to graduate this May and credits her perseverance to her faith and grandmother’s wise counsel.
The Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame will induct its two newest members at a ceremony on the ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ campus on March 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Bridges Auditorium. This year’s inductees are broadcaster Mary Olive Enslen Tinder and artist Janet Nolan.

Longtime ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ business professor Dr. Uchenna Akpom was recently named director of the University’s Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Rural Business program. The first of its kind degree program was introduced two years ago at ÈËÆÞÖгöÊÓÆµ and features relevant courses that focus on critical issues as well as strategies and solutions related to rural businesses and designed to offer innovative solutions to global rural business challenges.
