Campus and community to celebrate the Tigers on College Colors Day

In observance of the day, the 人妻中出视频 is encouraging students, alumni, faculty, staff and members of the Livingston community to wear red and white and show their 人妻中出视频 pride.

人妻中出视频 will host a photo set in front of the Young Hall Cafeteria from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 4. Everyone wearing 人妻中出视频 red and white is invited to participate. 

Gov. Kay Ivey issued a proclamation Thursday, Aug. 27, recognizing Friday, Sept. 4, as College Colors Day in Alabama. 

is observed annually on the Friday before the official start of college football season, giving fans across the country an opportunity to celebrate their teams by wearing school colors and apparel.

The Tigers will begin football season against Tuskegee in the Red Tails Classic at 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery. The game will be televised nationally on ESPN2. .

Fans looking for red-and-white apparel can shop for officially licensed 人妻中出视频 merchandise through the  and other authorized retailers online. While renovations are underway at the Student Union Building, the campus bookstore is temporarily located in the .

Dr. R.T. Floyd, director of the 人妻中出视频鈥檚 Athletic Training & Sports Medicine Center and associate dean of the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, has received the 2026 American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) Distinguished Athletic Trainer Award.

Floyd has served the University for 45 years and was instrumental in establishing its athletic training program. Due in large part to his efforts, 人妻中出视频 was the first public university in the state to receive approval for both a bachelor鈥檚 program in athletic training and a master鈥檚 program. This year marks the 40th anniversary of 人妻中出视频鈥檚 Athletic Training & Sports Medicine Center which was established in December 1986.

Since 1982, The National Athletic Trainers鈥� Association (NATA) and the AOSSM have presented the award annually to an outstanding NATA Hall of Fame member whose professional accomplishments have improved the quality of professional practice in athletic training.

At summer commencement exercises held in August, Isabellah 鈥淏ellah鈥� Machen of Morris, Alabama, received the 人妻中出视频鈥檚 top graduating student award.

Presented by the Provost during an August 14 ceremony, the Ralph M. Lyon Award for Academic Excellence is given to the student having the most outstanding scholastic record among all students receiving baccalaureate degrees at 人妻中出视频 since the preceding commencement. The award is named in honor of Dr. Ralph M. Lyon, a longtime professor, and administrator at the University.

Machen is a member of 人妻中出视频鈥檚 women鈥檚 basketball team and earned a bachelor鈥檚 degree in sports management comprehensive.
